Your health is always a top priority at Camino Psychological Services, LLC. Below are additional safety measures being implemented during this time to help you stay well.
What Our Office is Doing
Meeting in the office only with active clients if they may be experiencing a clinical emergency, crisis, or a specific urgent need.
Offering phone or video sessions for all non-urgent appointments as an alternative to in-person appointments. I am using a free and HIPAA-compliant platform doxy.me that can be used on a PC, Mac, Android, or iPhone.
Updating internal procedures to allow for administrative/support staff to work entirely remotely.
When required to interact in-person with clients or colleagues, avoiding any hugs, handshakes, high-fives, or fist-bumps and being more mindful of maintaining increased personal space.
Washing hands before and after each appointment.
Using disinfecting wipes at least twice per day to wipe down frequently used surfaces, such as door handles, keyboards and phones, light switches, table tops, etc.
Removing non-essential items from the waiting room and treatment offices, such as magazines, pens, coloring supplies, fidget toys, etc.
Opening windows to improve ventilation whenever the weather permits.
Posting reminder signs in the bathroom and waiting room of what you can do to help prevent the spread of illness while visiting the office.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure other professionals are implementing similar protocols while in the office.
What Clients Can Do
Please wash your hands as soon as you enter the office.
Please stay at home if you or a household member are having any flu-like symptoms or are feeling ill. Fees for missed appointments are waived due to unexpected illness and confidential video sessions are available.
Cover any unexpected coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then put it in the trash and wash your hands. Tissues are available in the waiting room, bathroom, and all individual offices.
Please consider ways to temporarily transition to video sessions rather than cancelling appointments, especially during these times of increased global stress.
Please talk to your therapist about supporting your wellness if you are deemed to be at a higher risk of complications from a COVID-19 infection.
